Santa Rita
Maipo · Chile
Founded in 1880
Santa Rita was founded in 1880 by Domingo Fernández Concha at Alto Jahuel, still the heart of the winery today. He brought French varieties to Chile at a time when that was not yet usual, and got results the country had not seen before. The name of the '120' range comes from the estate itself: during the struggle for independence in the early nineteenth century, 120 patriots sheltered there. Today 120 is the house's entry wine, with Tres Medallas and Medalla Real above it. The vineyards run across Maipo, Casablanca, Rapel, Lontué and Leyda — from the coastal cool to the foot of the Andes. Our catalogue carries 120 Reserva Especial, Tres Medallas and Medalla Real.
