Deep crimson in colour. Aromas of plum, blackberry and raspberry with layers of blackcurrant and a hint of blueberry. On the palate: structured and poised, with fine tannins and ironstone nuances, complemented by cedar, vanilla and baking spice.
Vinification
The grapes come from vines aged 10 to more than 35 years, planted across a range of soils from red brown earths and sandy loams to dark clay. The wine was matured for 10 months in French and Hungarian oak hogsheads, 12% new.
