Tasting notes
Aromas of blue and red berries intertwine with notes of plum and warm baking spices. On the palate: vibrant and juicy, showcasing ripe cherry, plum and blueberry, framed by structure and grip for a long finish.
Vinification
The grapes were hand-sorted and fermented on the skins in stainless-steel and open-top fermenters. Upon extraction of sufficient tannin and colour, the wine was drained from the skins.
Ageing
Approximately 16 months in 300-litre first- and third-fill French and American oak.
Food pairing
Char-grilled sticky Asian-influenced pork ribs, dishes with five spice or hoisin sauce, roasts, casseroles and grilled red meat.
