Tasting notes
Elegant nose with notes of red fruit and tobacco. Very flavourful palate, fairly full-bodies with well-defined tannins. Aromas of coffee, tobacco and spices on the palate. A long, very well-rounded wine.
Vinification
Vinification - traditional for the Chateau.
Ageing
80% of the wine spends 20 months in oak barrels (10% new).
Food pairing
Excellent as a meditation wine on its own, decanted at least 2 hours before serving it but also beautifully pairs with exquisite red meat dishes and a variety of elaborate cheeses.
