Founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has been producing classic Napa Valley wines for more than 40 years. That winemaking tradition has grown to encompass eight estates with meticulously farmed vineyards spread across the varied microclimates of Napa Valley. Focused on quality and consistency, these vineyards are an essential element in the production of the house's distinctive wines. Duckhorn Vineyards was the first to fully develop the potential of Merlot and treat it as a premium variety. Today the winery produces several elegant Merlot labels alongside a distinguished Cabernet Sauvignon. Duckhorn Vineyards has been named one of the world's "Top 100 Wineries" ten times by Wine & Spirits, and the 2014 Duckhorn Three Palms Vineyard Merlot was named 2017 "Wine of the Year" at the head of Wine Spectator's Top 100 wines of the world. The winemaker is Renée Ary, only the fourth in Duckhorn's storied history.
