Distell is the major group of South African wine and spirits, headquartered in Stellenbosch and formed in 2000 through the merger of two historic Cape companies. It stands behind brands known well beyond South Africa, including the ones representing the group in our catalogue: Two Oceans, named for the meeting of the Atlantic and Indian oceans near the Cape, and Secret Cellar, an approachable range of classic varieties and blends. Since 2023, Distell has been part of Heineken Beverages, while its winemaking teams and Cape vineyards carry on as before. The result is what the Cape does well: reliable, sun-ripened wines from a land where vines have grown since the 17th century.
