Шато Сейнт Мишел
Вашингтон · САЩ
Built on the grounds of a 1912 estate belonging to Frederick Stimson, a Seattle lumber baron, the winery traces its roots to the repeal of Prohibition. In 1967, under the guidance of legendary winemaker André Tchelistcheff, a new line of premium vinifera wines was introduced under the name Ste. Michelle Vintners. In 1976 Ste. Michelle Vintners built a French-style château winery in Woodinville and took the name Chateau Ste. Michelle. Chateau Ste. Michelle's internationally recognized wines weave together the winemaking traditions of the Old World and the innovations of the New. Indeed, Chateau Ste. Michelle is one of the few premium wineries in the world with two dedicated modern facilities — one for red wine and one for white. The whites are made at the château in Woodinville, Washington, while the reds are vinified at Canoe Ridge Estate in eastern Washington State.
