For five centuries the histories of Château La Nerthe and Châteauneuf-du-Pape have been intertwined. For five centuries, natural springs and a mosaic of soils and subsoils have given the estate's wines their freshness and elegance. For five centuries, generations of devoted women and men have succeeded one another, working this singular terroir. Leaving Châteauneuf-du-Pape and heading south, after about 2 km an avenue comes into view, winding between vineyards, evergreen oaks, cypresses and olive trees. It leads to Château La Nerthe, nestled among majestic plane trees and centuries-old pines.
