Forbes' international edition published its The World's 50 Best Wineries 2025 ranking — placing Marqués de Murrieta first in Europe and third in the world. The assessment combines prestige and history with thoroughly modern criteria: critics' scores for recent vintages, the quality of the wine-tourism experience, sustainability practices and certifications.

„This extraordinary recognition fills us with pride and strengthens our commitment to excellence.“
Founded in 1852, the estate is one of the pioneers of modern Rioja. Under Vicente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga its wines now reach more than 100 countries — one of which, since 2006, is Bulgaria.
The wines of Marqués de Murrieta — including Castillo Ygay, which you'll also read about further down in our news — are in Bibendum's catalog.
